Yesterday we visited culinary Italy without boarding a plane. The Eataly experience is a foodie theme park.
We visited the Los Angeles location, but we first had the experience in Dubai. There’s an Eataly in The Dubai Mall that we used to visit. Well to be honest, we really used to go for the Syrian ice cream shop right next door to it. But it didn’t hurt to drop into Eataly after and add a few more calories. Eataly is part restaurant, coffee shop, bakery, grocery store and cooking school. It’s all that!
When you visit Eataly in Century City you must grab a seat at the pizza and pasta corner. Ask to be seated on the balcony overlooking Ave of the Stars and Beverly Hills.
It’s obvious that Eataly uses only the highest quality ingredients in everything they do. Even their potato chips are sliced in-store, lightly fried and sprinkled with sea salt. You get to watch your pizza being made from a bag of dusty flour to the sauce rub down to the traditional wood fired oven.
When you go to the LA location, beware of the crowds as it just opened recently. Also it’s pretty pricey so budget well. Also it’s a two-floor store. Don’t forget to go downstairs for over 30 flavors of gelato, coffee and canolis.
